Former NHLer Mike Commodore crosses the line with harsh comments on Patrik Laine, calls him a cow
Former NHL player Mike Commodore is always entertaining to follow on social media, but with Patrik Laine, he has probably gone too far.
He rarely minces words and isn't afraid to speak his mind.
He was at it again this Monday morning, and this time, the target was the new Habs player, Patrik Laine.
In fact, the man who played over 500 games in the show wasn't at all pleased with the Finnish player's first visit to the Habs' locker room earlier this summer.
Mike Commodore harshly criticizes Patrik Laine
It wasn't the visit itself that irritated Commodore, but rather Laine's outfit. He wasn't happy to see him walking around the locker room in black and white spotted pants and lime green shoes. He used his usual blunt language to express his thoughts:
Folks..I meant to comment on this weeks ago..I am trying to not to sound like an old crusty prick..but in what world is it ok to show up looking like a fucking milking cow for your first look as a Montreal Canadien..A COW!
It's clear that Commodore is old school and doesn't appreciate this kind of behavior. But on the other hand, the league has changed since he retired in 2012. There's now a new generation of players who have their own style.
Did Commodore overreact? Especially considering that he had a rather unique look during his own time in the NHL...
