A very nice gesture by the Habs organization, and, above all, a beautiful moment because Canadiens fans were extremely respectful.
While Toronto Maple Leafs fans completely disrespected the Gaudreau family last night during the tribute at Scotiabank Arena, it was the complete opposite at the Bell Centre in the past few minutes.
Hats off to Habs fans for the total silence!
It's special to say, but it's rare to see something like that - such total silence during a tribute - and it speaks volumes about the immense respect we all have for the Gaudreau brothers and their wonderful family.
No, we didn't hear anyone shouting «Go Leafs» or, in this case, «Go Habs Go» during the tribute, and that's a very good thing.
A solid 13 seconds of complete silence!
It must have been a particularly special moment for Cole Caufield, who was in the stands and very close to Johnny Hockey, as you know.
We can't wait to see him in action with his very symbolic number 13.
On that note, let's remember that there was a very special guest with the Philadelphia Flyers today, as they invited Johnny Gaudreau's father to join their entourage:
