"With the Canadiens, he also suggested to Carey Price to show a bit more seriousness in the team's environment on game days, and it was again the right approach, as the Canadiens' goalie seriously stepped up his game from the moment he arrived." - Renaud Lavoie
From what we understand, this intervention by Stéphane Waite with Carey seems to have taken place in 2013, and clearly, it appears to have worked because Carey really reached the next level afterwards.
This is the kind of behind-the-scenes information from the CH that is always interesting to learn.
Hats off to Carey Price for changing his approach, and hats off to him for maintaining an elite level of play for so long.
Carey Price, 36 years old, has a career record in the NHL of 361-261-79 (all with the Montreal Canadiens) and he has an average of 2.51 goals allowed per game.
His save percentage, in 712 games, is 0.917 and he has recorded 49 shutouts.
According to many, he is one of the best goalies in the history of the Montreal Canadiens and possibly the best of his generation.
