The Habs' management, including of course Hughes, got some answers to their lingering questions, and according to many, one of those answers relates directly to the team's much-discussed future second-line center.
According to multiple sources, the last few days have confirmed that the next second-line center of the Montreal Canadiens will indeed be Hage!
He was outstanding during the team's development camp this week.
The Canadiens prospect got a pleasant surprise after being completely overlooked up to this point by Team Canada's junior staff.
"Michael Hage received the call and invitation from Team Canada."
We can't wait to see this unfold!
At 19 years old, Michael Hage is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound center who recorded 34 points in 33 games this season in the NCAA with the University of Michigan.
Hage would be a strong addition to Team Canada's World Junior squad, and more importantly, it would be a great opportunity for Habs fans to watch him perform on a big stage.
One thing's for sure - the young man is aiming high.
Michael Hage on his potential role:
"I can be a creative player that makes plays, be physical.
You never know what your role will be in your first 2-3 years, so you have to be a guy that the coach can put you on the ice and know what to expect."
We can't wait to see him in Montreal!
