We have a major last-minute announcement, a joint statement from TSN, RDS, and the Montreal Canadiens. It concerns the broadcasting rights for the Canadiens' games on RDS.

For several years now, people have been wondering where the Canadiens' games would be broadcast starting in 2026. Will they all be on TVA Sports? Could they move to Radio-Canada? Could they move online (Amazon and others)? Would they stay on RDS, with Pierre Houde and Marc Denis?
Well, we finally have our answer!

The Montreal Canadiens will remain on RDS for several more years!

What fantastic news for RDS and TSN!
What fantastic news for Pierre Houde, who seemed worried about this in a recent interview. But Montreal Canadiens hockey is staying on RDS!
"TSN, RDS, and the Montreal Canadiens announced today a landmark, long-term partnership ensuring Canada's Sports Leaders remain home to Montreal Canadiens regional broadcasts for years to come:"

- TSN Hockey
What a major announcement!
Here's an excerpt from the TSN article on the topic:
"Under the new agreement, Montreal Canadiens matchups continue to be available to subscribers located in the team's designated broadcast region on TSN, RDS, and streaming live through the networks digital platforms, featuring 50 games on TSN and 45 on RDS.

We've been fortunate to count TSN and RDS as valued partners for many years, and we're thrilled to formally extend this collaboration for years to come. Whether through live games or shoulder programming, this will allow fans to enjoy their Canadiens in a host of forms with industry-best production," said France Margaret Bélanger, President, Groupe CH Sports and Entertainment."

RDS has also just confirmed the news:
"RDS remains the official French-language broadcaster of the Montreal Canadiens for several years!" - RDS
Details will follow.
