Montreal Canadiens forward, Brendan Gallagher, just made a major announcement during a press conference.
First, let's recall that last week, Gallagher temporarily stepped away from the team, which the Habs had announced as being "for personal reasons."
At that time, he missed a few practices but no games.
Well, during a press conference following tonight's great win at the Bell Centre, Gallagher revealed the real reason for his temporary departure.
Brendan Gallagher and his wife, Emma Fortin, are now parents!
"I'm a dad now. It's been a week, so it's still new. Obviously, a little less sleep than I'm used to, but it's been awesome."

Gallagher, 32, has accumulated 25 points in 61 games this season, including 15 goals, and is having an overall solid campaign for the Montreal Canadiens.
In tonight's victory, he finished the game with a fairly neutral stat line in just under 13 minutes of ice time.
