The 2015 1st round pick Colin White has indeed been acquired by the Canadiens through waivers.
He had been placed on waivers yesterday by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Also, Brandon Gignac has been placed on waivers by MTL.

The Canadiens have claimed forward Colin White (Pittsburgh) and have placed forward Brandon Gignac on waivers with the intention of assigning him to the Laval Rocket.
