Big changes are definitely coming within the Montreal Canadiens organization, especially regarding the goaltending hierarchy.
Earlier this week, the Laval Rocket officially announced the following:
Well, not only is it over for Connor Hughes, but it may also be over for Cayden Primeau in Montreal.
At least, that's the current rumor going around.

"I believe the Montreal Canadiens will look to acquire a veteran to back up Jacob Fowler in Laval.
Everything indicates that Fowler will be Laval's number one.
I believe Cayden Primeau's rights will be traded or that he simply won't receive a qualifying offer as an RFA."

Yes, it really seems like the Cayden Primeau era is ending with the Montreal Canadiens organization.
The rumor is persistent and may be confirmed quite soon.
At 25 years old, Cayden Primeau is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound goalie, a 7th-round pick by the Canadiens in 2017 who had a season of two halves.
First, an extremely rough start in the NHL (GAA of 4.70 and save percentage of .836), but then, an absolutely sensational AHL season (GAA of 1.96 and save percentage of .927, with a record of 21 wins, 2 losses, and 2 overtime losses).
