Many experts are impressed by the work of the Montreal Canadiens' 101st overall pick in 2023, selected by Kent Hughes. Florian Xhekaj has truly been a major revelation with the Laval Rocket.
That said, beyond the journalists and analysts, what does his own head coach think?
Pascal Vincent speaks out on the development of Florian Xhekaj
Let's just say he's definitely the best person to comment on the younger brother of Arber, and his remarks speak volumes.
In addition to calling him a "pain" for opponents to face, he added:
"Everyone wants these types of players.
When I worked in Winnipeg, we really liked Adam Lowry and what he brought to the table.
I went to Columbus, and Pierre-Luc Dubois was there before I arrived, and Boone Jenner is a very good center.
These are players who can play a physical game, who are strong defensively, and can also play on the wing.
Now I arrive with the Canadiens organization, and to have a young player like him, with so much potential, who is a good person, works hard, and is a great teammate, the value Flo can bring will depend on him and how he continues to develop."

I can't include everything here because Vincent was incredibly enthusiastic and had a lot to say about Florian Xhekaj, but let's just say it's extremely exciting moving forward.
The Rocket's head coach also added that Florian is clearly ahead of where they expected him to be this season and confirmed that he believes the younger Xhekaj will eventually play games in the National Hockey League.
