In a press scrum in the last few seconds, young Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj broke out and revealed some interesting information regarding the injury of his good friend Juraj Slafkovsky.
Let's recall what the organization published earlier today:
"Juraj Slafkovsky has suffered an upper body injury. He is being evaluated on a day-to-day basis." - Montreal Canadiens
So it's understood that Slafkovsky suffered an upper body injury, possibly from contact with Josh Brown of the Arizona Coyotes, and he was out against the Dallas Stars (Rem Pitlick took his place)
We now have more information, courtesy of Xhekaj.
"Arber Xhekaj slips that he thinks Juraj Slafkovsky is dealing with a wrist issue, but adds that it doesn't sound serious." - Arpon Basu
So the "upper body" injury becomes clearer, and so does the severity.
Thanks to the organization's new mindset with Chantal Machabée and Kent Hughes, let's bet that they won't have a problem with Xhekaj letting this information slip.
