The emotion is still palpable in town as the Montreal Canadiens have just played their most emotional game of the season.
A great 6-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes, but most of all, a great show by the kids.
Among the highlights of the game, we obviously remember the moment when Arber Xhekaj dropped the gloves with Zack Kassian, which was a very bad idea for Kassian.
Absolutely complete and total domination.
After the game, Xhekaj provided some interesting details about the sequence. Sportsnet's Eric Engels asked him what was said on the ice that led to the gloves being thrown down.
«I was smiling at him on the faceoff. He asked me what I was laughing about, I told him I was laughing at him. He then poked me with a stick and asked me if I wanted to face him. I said sure!"
- Arber Xhekaj
Wow amazing this kid, and absolutely hilarious as an anecdote.
After the fight, Kassian was a little more "mellow":
He just told me, 'Good fight.'"
- Arber Xhekaj
He's not done making news yet, this young Arber Xhekaj. To say the least, we are very happy to have him with us in Montreal.
