Xhekaj just sent another clear message to Kassian and he makes two revelations related to the fight
As you know, in the Montreal Canadiens' most recent game last Thursday against the Arizona Coyotes, Arber Xhekaj dropped down the gloves with Zack Kassian and put on quite a show:
In the last few minutes, journalist Arpon Basu went back over this sequence with Xhekaj, and the latter had a very interesting revelation:
"Two things from Arber Xhekaj this morning going over his fight with Zack Kassian: 1) He was fully aware Kassian ran Montembeault last season. 2) Pezzetta had told him he was a technical fighter, so that's why Xhekaj ran at him and didn't give him time to set up"
Really interesting! So we understand that Xhekaj was perfectly aware of the history between Kassian and Samuel Montembeault:
As for his fight last Thursday, it had an impact and Xhekaj was also doing it for his teammate Montembeault. We love it! During the fight, he took the opportunity to send a clear message to Kassian (Stay away from my goalie!)
Also, a special mention to Michael Pezzetta, who took the time to give some advice to Arber to make it easier for him to defeat Kassian.
