While the Montreal Canadiens' big club is off to a rocky start this season, things are quite different for several of the organization's prospects, who are impressing all over North America.
On Saturday, two of them were in uniform for their respective teams and they took the opportunity to stand out in a great way! The young Czech, Jan Mysak, and his Hamilton Bulldogs team won 6-3 against the Sudbury Wolves. In this game, Mysak directed seven shots on net, scored twice, got an assist and even won 14 of the 20 face-offs he took part in!
An extremely complete performance for the 19-year-old who seems to be taking full advantage of the experience he acquired last season with the Laval Rocket.
In the QMJHL, young center Riley Kidney also had a strong performance in the Acadie-Bathurst Titan's 3-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads. The Tricolore's second round pick (63rd overall) in the last NHL Entry Draft had three points (two goals and one assist) and increased his season total to 21 points (including nine goals) in 15 games, which ranks him seventh in the league.
Kidney is joined by two other CH prospects in the Top-10 in scoring, as Xavier Simoneau of the Charlottetown Islanders and Joshua Roy of the Sherbrooke Phoenix pass him with 23 and 22 points respectively.
