Trade: Habs and Flames get busy as Habs forward involved in discussions

We were talking about it earlier this week, but it really seems to be happening. Talks are heating up between the Montreal Canadiens and the Calgary Flames for a trade involving a "goal scoring forward".

It seems obvious that Kent Hughes and Brad Treliving, the general managers of the Flames and the CH, love to negotiate and close deals together.

Now we've just learned this:

"The Flames have been in discussions with the Canadiens about a trade involving a goal scorer." - Marco D'Amico

So after the trades involving Tyler Toffoli and Sean Monahan between Hughes and Treliving over the past few months, here's another major trade that could happen between Montreal and Calgary.

It would involve a forward, a "scorer" of the Tricolore who would be traded to the Flames.

The potential candidates are obviously Mike Hoffman, Josh Anderson and possibly Evgenii Dadonov, but the journalist does not mention names. He really just talks about a "scorer".

The story unfortunately does not say what Kent Hughes would ask for in exchange, but we imagine that the price for an Anderson would be much higher than for a Hoffman or a Dadonov.

For Josh Anderson, we could hope for a first round pick + possibly a prospect like Jakob Pelletier. (11 points in 12 games this season in the AHL for the 2019 first round pick) To be continued, but it seems to be getting busy on the trade market, following the general managers meeting.

More details to come!
