The Toronto Maple Leafs have just acquired the services of forward Kyle Clifford from the St. Louis Blues in return for future considerations.
Clifford, 30, will be in his second stint in Toronto, having played 16 games with the organization in 2019-2020, collecting three points in the process.
Remember that Clifford had been submitted to the waivers yesterday, but he was not claimed.
Kyle Dubas thus adds a depth forward who will bring robustness to his formation.
Clifford also has a lot of experience, having won two Stanley Cups with the Los Angeles Kings in 2012 and 2014. He will be able to help the young Leafs, mostly at the leadership level.
