For the holidays, I offer you my favorite movies about hockey! This is really not objective, my only criteria is the pleasure I had to watch them!

10. Goon 2: Last of the Enforcers (2017)
It's the story of legendary Doug Glatt returning to the game with the Highlanders. This time, his main opponent is Anders Cain, son of the team owner. It's far from being a great movie, but I like the way they deal with violence!
9. Goon (2011)
Yes, there are Glatt and Rhea, but beyond these characters, the team is very friendly. It's the kind of movie you have to unplug your brain before you watch it.
8. Mystery Alaska (1999)
A big production with Russell Crowe and Burt Reynolds. An Alaska team gets a game against the New York Rangers. It's a Disney production.
7. Maurice Richard (2005)
A film about the illustrious career of the Rocket, played by a illustrious actor in Roy Dupuis! Beyond hockey, it is a historical film.
6. The Mighty Ducks (1992)
A production by Disney. A good family movie. Gordon Bombay does community work by taking care of a disadvantaged team.
5. Les Boys (1997)
A mythical Quebec film with replicas that went down in history.
4. Miracle (2004)
Historical film about the victory of the Americans over the Soviet Union. Film about the head coach Herb Brooks, played by Kurt Russell. A very good film, even if we already know the end.
3. Il était une fois, les Boys (2013)
Dramatic film the anti-episode of the series, but the best, according to me! In the background, the 60's. A jewel so well played!
2. Young Blood (1986)
Classic of the genre! A film about junior hockey in Canada. With Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, Keanu Reeves among others. I've seen this movie so much. All the kids my age wanted to be Dean Youngblood and all the girls to be his girlfriend.
1. Slap Shot (1977)
This film is a sociological study of the time! The folklore of the 70s and the dubbed version in Quebec is simply masterful. Note the version from France is called La Castagne, haha! This is probably the movie I watched the most in my life.
Lots of hours of fun this holiday season!
