As the Montreal Canadiens returned to the ice today, we were watching very closely to see what would happen to defenseman Joel Edmundson.
Would he be back in the game? Would he wear a regular jersey? The verdict is in, and the answer is no.
It's disappointing, because Edmundson really seemed to be close to a return to action, and has been for several days, but we'll obviously have to wait. He's not on track to play tomorrow.
This delays the decision that Kent Hughes and Martin St-Louis must make.
When Edmundson returns, a defenseman will have to be removed from the lineup, and a player will obviously have to be placed on waivers. It's going to happen!
Will it be Evgenii Dadonov?
