The price to pay for the best defenseman available on the market is completely ridiculous!

The transaction market is likely to be very interesting this year, as several big names already seem to be on the market.

One of them is the ever-available Jakob Chychrun of the Arizona Coyotes, who has yet to be traded, despite being on the market since last year.

TSN tipster Pierre LeBrun just announced what the current price is for acquiring the 24-year-old defenseman.

According to him, despite the fact that the Coyotes are taking a long time with the talented back, who has also been struggling with serious injuries over the past year, GM Bill Armstrong is still asking for the moon for him.


Arizona wants two first round picks AND on top of that, they want a good prospect or a young NHL player.

There is no doubt that Chychrun is a very good defenseman, with many good years left in him, with a very attractive contract for the team that wants to acquire him.

On the other hand, given that he wants out of the Coyotes and the fact that he has only played one game so far, Armstrong doesn't really have the upper hand in negotiations and what he is asking for is astronomical.

Chychrun's fate is definitely with another NHL team, but now it's just a matter of who will waver on the price between the Coyotes and the other teams in the league.
