With the trade deadline fast approaching, it seems that GMs are not willing to budge from their asking price. Some are even increasing their demands for their players.
That's what the GM of the Arizona Coyotes, Bill Armstrong, seems to do. The latter would have strongly increased his demands for defenseman Jakob Chychrun. According to what Darren Dreger mentions, the price would now be two or three first round picks and a prospect.
Initially, Armstrong was asking for a first round pick, a top-6 forward or a top-4 defenseman and two prospects. We can see that the recent Brandon Hagel trade has changed that.
In 47 games this season, the defenseman had 7 goals and 14 assists for a total of 21 points. He is in the third year of a six-season contract that takes $4.6 million off the payroll. A trade on deadline day is unlikely, but that could change this summer.
At one point, Kent Hughes and the CH were in the running, but at this price, one wonders if that is still the case.
