As we told you earlier today, it's the controversy of the hour in the hockey world when on the Colorado Avalanche's winning goal in overtime last night, there were too many men on the ice.

There were six Avalanche players on the ice and the goal should have been disallowed, experts say. For details:

A highlight reel:

Imagine, even on the official National Hockey League game sheet, there were six players on the ice. WOW!

A detail that was quickly noticed by an observer and that is very embarrassing for the NHL. It's making the rounds on the web right now.

They allow the goal, but they clearly state that there were six Avalanche players on the ice at the time of the winning goal. Where is the logic?

In short, as if it wasn't embarrassing enough for them, the National Hockey League just made (another) very controversial move, on the sly, and found a way to make themselves look even more ridiculous.

Check it out:

"The #NHL has now removed the sixth skater from the scoresheet." - Puckempire

They just changed their official scoresheet, on the sly, to cover up their mistake, but some online users were quick to notice.

Ayayaye!
