Last night, following the quick goal scored by young Juraj Slafkovsky, there was a lot of confusion on social networks, especially among NHL fantasy and sports bettors.
Why did this happen? Simply because the National Hockey League gave contradictory information about the assists on the goal.
They first announced that it was an "unassisted" goal, then added an assist to Sean Monahan only, before going back to an "unassisted" goal.
Finally, the NHL has officially ruled on the matter, and that's good news.
"The NHL has officially changed Montreal's first goal - Slafkovsky from Monahan (!) and Guhle. It's settled."
Many of you have asked us about this, well here's the definitive answer. So that confirms a great two-point night for Sean Monahan in his return to Calgary. Solid!
