Last night, the Seattle Kraken revealed their updated lineup and head coach Dave Hakstol confirmed that these will most likely be the lineup used to start the season.
So we can talk about probable final lineup for the Kraken, and it's obviously interesting to see where Shane Wright ends up.
Forwards:
Burakovsky - Beniers - McCann
Schwartz - Wennberg - Bjorkstrand
Gourde - Wright - Eberle
Sprong - Geekie - Tanev
Defenders:
Dunn - Larsson
Oleksiak - J. Schultz
Soucy - Borgen
Keepers:
Grubauer
Mr. Jones
So here is the likely lineup for the Seattle Kraken, 2022-23 edition, pending the return of some injured players.
You'll notice that young Shane Wright, the fourth overall pick in 2022, would start his rookie season on the third line, and would alternate at center (and wing) with Yanni Gourde. A decision that has fans talking in the comments, for reasons we know well.
Above all, note that Wright would have officially confirmed his position in the NHL.
It will be interesting to watch over the next few weeks, and to see if he will be able to move up, or down, in the Kraken.
