According to NHL Insider Craig Morgan, the Arizona Coyotes are in the market for a second goalie for the upcoming season.
Morgan says the team's general manager, Bill Armstrong, is reportedly keeping a close eye on waivers after the various training camps. His number one target would be Washington Capitals goalie and former Canadiens goalie Charlie Lindgren.
Lindgren, 28, had a lot of success last season in the NHL, but especially in the AHL.
In 34 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds, Lindgren maintained a 2.21 goals-against-average and .921 save percentage. In five games with the St. Louis Blues, he posted a goals-against-average of 1.21 and a save percentage of 92.5%.
