Surprise publication involving Logan Mailloux and Shane Wright
Surprisingly, few journalists and experts are talking about the good offensive season that young Montreal Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux is currently experiencing.
However, see a very surprising publication that says a lot about the productive season Mailloux is having.
It has changed slightly since then, but still! Wow!
Many analysts were recently mentioning how well Wright is doing offensively, for a 20-year-old, in the AHL.
Mailloux, 20 years old, is a 31st overall pick in 2021. He has 20 points in 32 games this season in the AHL. He is obviously a defenseman.
Wright, 20 years old, is a 4th overall pick in 2022. He has 20 points in 28 games this season in the AHL. He is obviously a forward.
This doesn't take anything away from Wright, but it's extremely impressive for Mailloux, who is producing as much as a player who was seen as a first overall pick. (and they are the same age)
Which will be the most dominant player in the NHL? Would we trade Logan Mailloux for Shane Wright? Good question, but one thing is for sure, the statistics say a lot.
With Mailloux, David Reinbacher, Lane Hutson, Arber Xhekaj, Kaiden Guhle, Justin Barron, Jayden Struble, and company, the future is extremely bright on the blue line of the Canadiens.
