St-Louis and the Canadiens have officially announced Monahan's replacement on the power play
Since the trade concluded with the Winnipeg Jets involving Sean Monahan, many fans and observers of the Habs are wondering who will replace the excellent Monahan on the power play. He was very solid and a big part of our PP.
It's Tanner Pearson who replaces Sean Monahan on the first power play unit!
So, it's not
Josh Anderson who replaces him, but rather the veteran Pearson.
"It's Tanner Pearson who takes Sean Monahan's place on the Habs' top power play unit -- for now at least..."

And here's the complete unit:
"PP1:
Suzuki-Caufield-Pearson (replaces Monahan)-Matheson-Slafkovsky"
- Via Anthony Martineau, from TVA Sports
An interesting decision by Martin St-Louis! Pearson, 31 years old, is a first-round pick (30th overall) of the Los Angeles Kings in 2012.
He has accumulated 8 points in 30 games this season, including four goals, after having amassed 39 points over the last two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks.
Pearson has accumulated 43 points in his career on the power play, over twelve seasons.
A decision that could boost his value.
