Nick Suzuki is ranked 22nd in the NHL in scoring at the time of writing this short post. Yes, you could put him higher, as many players in the league have 14 points, just like Suzuki.
So far, Suzuki has 14 points, including four goals, but he has nine of his points in his last five games. If he keeps up this pace, while avoiding injuries, he will reach the 75-point mark.
That's a huge haul, but there's more to it than that. There's even more colossal than that when it comes to the Habs' stats with and without Suzuki. When the Habs are 5-on-5 and "Suzy" is on the ice, the CH has scored nine goals and allowed six.
However, when he's not on the ice, the numbers are MUCH worse. Without him, still at 5-on-5, the Tricolore scored only five times and allowed a whopping 16 goals.
That just goes to show how effective this young man is and how he and his trio can stay out of their own zone. A threatening combination thanks to the prowess of the young man of only 22 years old, I remind you.
