The Habs captain still hasn't spoken to reporters since the start of the season, and as Keven Mawn of Fanadiens.com reports, this situation is starting to annoy Chantal Machabée, the Habs' new VP of Communications, a lot.WeOn the La Dose podcast earlier this week, TVA Sports reporter Marc-André Perreault mentioned that people in the media have literally done everything they can to get news about Weber's situation with the Habs.
Still recently, his absence on Sunday at the Bell Center during the tribute to Guy Lafleur has caused much talk and Perreault admits that he could have made an extra effort to honor the memory of the Blonde Demon.
Weber will be in Montreal this weekend for the end of season review and it is obvious that some journalists will try, for the last time this year, to get comments from the captain but on this subject, the journalist was quite cautious about Weber's intentions to meet the press.
It's kind of a shame to see a captain of a team as prestigious as the Habs act this way, and let's just say that this situation is certainly not very good for the organization's image. It will be interesting to see what Kent Hughes will do this summer with this hot potato.
