As we all know, the Canadiens goaltending situation this year has been in the news quite regularly. From injuries to Carey Price and Jake Allen, to the great emergence of Samuel Montembeault and the struggles of Cayden Primeau, it's safe to say that Habs fans have gone through the gamut of emotions.
Former Habs goaltending coach Stephane Waite was on 98.5's Les amateurs de sports and as Max Truman of Danslescoulisses.com reports, he is adamant that Kent Hughes will have to look for reinforcements in front of the net this summer.
On the other hand, it might cost too much if Carey Price's contract is still on the team's salary cap. But the former goalie coach mentioned that some players could be used as bait to go after a quality goalie.
Incidentally, Waite also mentioned that there would be demand for both players, especially Hoffman. And since both players were acquired during the Marc Bergevin era, it would be less difficult for Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton to part with either of them.
