When Sean Farrell was selected by the Canadiens in the 4th round (124th overall) of the 2020 draft, Cole Caufield immediately mentioned that it was a steal. The two men knew each other well having played together for two seasons in the U.S. development program.
The last few years have proven that the CH's 22 wasn't totally wrong. As Anthony Martineau reminds us in a recent excellent piece on Farrell, he is getting dangerously close to being the perfect player. There's just no department where the forward seems to be struggling, so far, in his NCAA career.
The young man, who doesn't like to talk about himself, did however flinch and mention what he wants to work on to be successful in the NHL.
Oh yeah, Farrell also has a bit of a drooling side. At 5-foot-9, 175 pounds, he recently didn't hesitate to go out and taunt opposing team captain Connor Murphy, who is also the goalie, after outwitting him.
