Over the past few hours, the Montreal Canadiens have confirmed the news that we just reported last night.

It's Emil Heineman who is affected by Jordan Harris' return to play, leaving the Habs and he is the one sent to the Laval Rocket.

"The Canadiens have removed defenseman Jordan Harris from the injured list and assigned forward Emil Heineman to the Laval Rocket.

So, it will have been a short trip for young Heineman, who will be able to help the farm team on offense.

Heineman, 22 years old, has 4 points in 7 games this season in the AHL and 0 points in 2 games in the NHL. The 2nd round pick was acquired in a trade with the Calgary Flames almost two years ago.

This solves the short-term problem, but a decision is still imminent for Kent Hughes on defense.

A young Canadiens defenseman sent to waivers?

Our prediction is that Gustav Lindstrom will be placed on waivers, to keep Jayden Struble and Justin Barron with the main club.

Details to follow.
