On Saturday afternoon, the Montreal Canadiens will face Phillip Danault and the Los Angeles Kings, his new team since July 28th. By the way, just like that, Danault is still as efficient at 5-on-5.
He also still possesses his outspokenness when he shows up all smiley in front of the lenses. The reporters following the Montreal Canadiens actually seemed very happy to see the handsome No. 24 again, who was very generous with them.
Marc-André Perreault, journalist for TVA Sports, summed up this meeting between Phillip Danault and the Quebec journalists:
He came back, once again, on the fact that he knew he would not be coming back to Montreal. That tells me that no matter what Bergevin's offer was last fall, Danault would not have signed because he wanted a taste of something else. The pressure of being in front of a pack of reporters every time can get heavy.
The proof is that it was a pretty heavy job... even if he says it wasn't disturbing.
Anyway, what I like about Danault is his authenticity when he has to give an interview. We love that!
