It's very rare to see executives from other NHL teams talking about players from other teams, but these days, organizations are becoming more and more open to being transparent, and we love it.
Just appointed, the new general manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, Daniel Brière, is going to bring a breath of fresh air to this team that greatly needs it, and he really impressed us during his most recent interview with the TVA Sports team.
He was very transparent, very direct and he revealed a very interesting piece of confidential information.
A statement from the Flyers that pleases fans
For those who still doubt the selection of Juraj Slafkovsky, and for those who believe he could have slipped further in the draft, you are mistaken.
Daniel Brière does not hide it : the Philadelphia Flyers had Juraj Slafkovsky in their sights at the last draft.
"Slafkovsky was very high on our list as well," he declared on the "JiC" show, Friday on TVA Sports.
Let's remember that the Flyers spoke in 5th place overall. They finally drafted young Cutter Gauthier.
Brière did not put it this way, but it seems that they would probably have drafted Slafkovsky in the first round as well.
We are already looking forward to seeing him back in action and in good health.
