The Los Angeles Kings have reportedly extended the contract of their general manager Rob Blake. The length of the contract would be either four or five years according to tipster John Hoven.
What this means?
Marc Bergevin is not heading to Los Angeles to be GM of the Kings in the short or medium term. Rob Blake is with the Kings to stay.
Remember that earlier this evening, we learned that Marc Bergevin had been hired as a senior advisor to the Los Angeles Kings.
Moreover, according to some sources, Bergevin would even be named assistant to the GM starting next season. He would even have a three-year contract in pocket, according to this information.
However, this information was denied by Hoven. Bergevin would only have a short term contract with the Kings...
We may have to wait for the main interested party to reveal more about his contract soon.
