Yes, we consider it to be a major gesture.

See the post by journalist Arpon Basu, who covers the Montreal Canadiens activities for The Athletic.

Alex Newhook seems to be a full participant in the Canadiens' practice.

And Nick Suzuki is also on the ice after a very busy weekend.

What's so special about that?

It turns out that Nick Suzuki's mere presence at today's practice indeed says a lot about him.

The vast majority of players who were present at the All-Star Game this weekend all had a day off today.

This was notably the case for Sebastian Aho, who did not practice with his teammates in order to rest a bit:

It's understandable.

These have been undoubtedly very tiring days for these players, with the draft on Thursday, the skills competition the day before yesterday, the All-Star Game tournament yesterday, in addition to all the activities around and the media frenzy...

Despite all this, Nick Suzuki is one of the very few players who was at practice with his team from today.

He absolutely did not take a day off.

Martin St-Louis most likely gave him the option to take the day off today, but no, the captain was there at today's practice.

Hats off, Nick! A true enthusiast!
