New information surfaces on a possible transaction involving Jonathan Drouin

We told you a few days ago that some journalists believe that Jonathan Drouin could be traded to the Arizona Coyotes this summer.

All this is based on the fact that the Coyotes and the Canadiens are currently negotiating to trade Shea Weber's contract to Arizona (a trade in this sense was almost concluded at the most recent trade deadline)

In addition to Mathias Brunet (La Presse), Marc-Antoine Godin and Arpon Basu (The Athletic) are adding to the list.

According to their sources, there is now a better chance of Jonathan Drouin being traded to Arizona than Weber.

When you consider that, in the case of Shea Weber, it seemed to be settled, you realize that this is indeed a major statement.

Even Kent Hughes admitted that he was confident of trading his captain's contract this summer.

According to what they hear, the Tricolore would have more chances to trade Drouin (before Weber) to the Coyotes.

"It becomes a lot less interesting to go out and get a contract knowing in advance that you're going to want to part with him later." - Marc-Antoine Godin and Arpon Basu

The Coyotes may have just realized that Weber has a big four years left on his contract.

So they'd rather go here and get big contracts from players who can play and contribute to their organization's success.

Jonathan Drouin fits much better here. (unlike Weber)

Do you think it will happen?
