Tuesday night's game between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Montreal Canadiens was the first time Max Domi faced his former teammates in a packed arena since his departure following the 2019-2020 season. For the occasion, the organization has prepared, as the tradition requires, a nice video tribute to him.
Many criticized the lack of enthusiasm of the main interested party, who did not even raise his eyes to the board. It was only when his teammate pointed out that he was on the screen that he quickly greeted the crowd.
The main interested party however wanted to explain, after the game the reason for his non-reaction. He says he simply missed the whole thing. He also took care, via his Twitter account, to thank the local supporters.
This kind of situation raises the question of whether the CH should really do this kind of tribute to all the players who return to the city? While Domi's time with the club was highlighted by his 72-point season, in 2018-2019, he will still have only played 153 games in a Red-White-Blue uniform...
