In the context of an interview just published by La Presse, the captain of the Montreal Canadiens, Nick Suzuki, has just sent a very clear message to fans and team executives. (live from Blainville, where he was yesterday)
"We're tired of losing and finishing last. We need to start winning again."
Boom. Suzuki continues by stating that he is very satisfied with the recent statements of his bosses, to the effect that expectations will be much higher next season.
Will the team make the playoffs?
That remains to be seen, but it clearly seems to be the goal, and we love it!
"We saw, at the start of last season, the team we could be. Injuries changed everything, but I constantly maintain high expectations. With the players we have, our style of play, and our coaching staff, we can definitely make a push for the playoffs." - Nick Suzuki
He is already looking forward to the next training camp. Suzuki is indeed already back on the ice, in Brossard, with players like Kaiden Guhle and Josh Anderson. It's great to see.
