Major: Alex Galchenyuk is being sued for nearly half a million dollars
It's been a tough month for former Montreal Canadiens player Alex Galchenyuk.
After his troubles in Arizona, he is now the target of a lawsuit for nearly half a million dollars.
As reported by journalist Jonathan Tremblay from TVA Sports, things are going from bad to worse for him.
"Things are going from bad to worse for hockey player Alex Galchenyuk, who is being sued by a bank for nearly $400,000, just a few days after having trouble with the police in Arizona and being released from his contract with the Coyotes." - Via TVA Sports
The reason? Allegedly, it's for not fulfilling a contract worth several hundred thousand dollars.
He had reportedly taken out a loan of nearly $300,000 in 2014, while he was still playing with the Canadiens, and he is said to still refuse to pay.
"Last April, the Bank notified him that he was in default of payment, but he reportedly refused to pay the amount owed to the institution." - TVA Sports
Further details will follow.
