Interesting last-minute development with the Montreal Canadiens.
As the players just hit the ice for today's morning practice in preparation for the game against the Los Angeles Kings, Joel Armia is missing.
Will he be placed on waivers at 2 pm? Stay tuned.
Update: see what the Canadiens just published.
"Forward Joel Armia will not participate in today's practice (treatment day)." - Montreal Canadiens
This could therefore explain his absence, but with the imminent return of David Savard, he could still be placed on waivers today, knowing that he is very unlikely to be claimed.
This wouldn't be the first time a player misses a practice for "treatments" but is placed on waivers the same day.
A situation to follow, then!
Armia, 30 years old, has accumulated 3 points in 10 games this season with the Canadiens, and 9 points, including 6 goals, in 8 games with the Laval Rocket.
