It's been flying under the radar for the past few days, but several well-informed sources are reporting that Kent Hughes is very active on his phone right now, trying to make a trade.

We have a new clue that a trade could be imminent with the Montreal Canadiens.

It's not a surprise, because of the Tricolore's large surplus of forwards, but there was an unusually high number of surprise guests for the Canadiens/Leafs duel (something we also noticed during the Habs' last preseason game).

As reported by Montreal Gazette reporter Stu Cowan, there was an impressive list of scouts in attendance for yesterday's game.

That usually signals possible movement.

Even yesterday in a press conference, Kent Hughes didn't hide the fact that he would like to make a trade that would benefit his organization.
