Kent Hughes and some of his colleagues are getting impatient

With the NHL trade deadline fast approaching, we would have thought that the month of March would have been fertile in trades. However, this is not the case while the trade market is fairly calm.

In a recent tweet, Pierre LeBrun may have mentioned the reason for this. It seems that the salary cap is the main irritant of the so-called "buying" teams. According to the TSN insider, these formations wanting to add players for the end of the season would need more time, which seems to irritate the so-called «selling» teams.

This could therefore explain why the Canadian has still not traded Ben Chiarot, Jeff Petry, Artturi Lehkonen and company. It would be a shame if the lack of space on the other teams prevented Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton from reaching their goals by March 21.

It will be interesting to see how teams in need will think outside the box and find a solution to their problems. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later because as we saw yesterday, the value of Habs players seems to be on the rise...
