Jonathan Drouin, who took a puck to the head on the left side, was back with his teammates in the morning practice. He even reclaimed his spot at center from Mike Hoffman and Josh Anderson. So we can officially rule out a concussion in his case, which is still big news.
Here is the return of number 92 on the blue surface of the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard:
That being said, with the few options that are currently in Dominique Ducharme's deck, the combinations have not been altered. Michael Pezzetta's hair is still on the 4th unit. His curly hair is, just like that, Marc-André Perreault's guilty pleasure.
Note that Adam Brooks was alternating with Brendan Gallagher, which may indicate that "Gally", who is currently playing injured, is being given a "break". In the case of Alexander Romanov, he was taking reps on the third pairing of Sami Niku and Chris Wideman.
Brooks even took turns on the massive 1st forward unit... while Jonathan Drouin watched. What the hell does that mean?
Then, just to show once again what a hard-working young man Romanov is, he was STILL the first to step on the ice.
Details about Jonathan Drouin and Brendan Gallagher will follow later!
UPDATE (11:05 a.m.) - Jonathan Drouin will ultimately not be fit to face the New York Islanders tonight. Drouin will be replaced by Brooks, so we can understand his presence on the massive offense... or not!
UPDATE (10:59 a.m.) - All indications are that Romanov will make a return to action tonight, as he did not see overtime.
