Chantal Machabée was back on 91.9 Sports for her daily column, then, of course, it was about the interview she did with Jonathan Drouin. This interview will be broadcast tonight at 7:30 p.m. on RDS. Note that before filming this first major interview with Jo Drouin, Chantal sat down one-on-one with him to see how far she could go.

You should know that during the interview, Chantal went as far as Jonathan wanted to go. He didn't reveal everything, far from it, but he mentioned the main things so that people would understand why he wasn't there. He said the things he wanted to say in order to silence the rumors that are circulating about him... Because rumors, there were tons of copies.
Jo also talked about these famous crazy rumors: he has no drug problem, he doesn't have a problem with alcohol or violence and he didn't try to commit suicide... In short, despite the pain he was going through, he did it with a lot of class, without blowing any doors. He wanted time for himself and he did it with great class, according to Chantal.
That said, Chantal did make some important points about the dialogue in this interview: Drouin outlined the reason for his absence, but he didn't go into detail about how he actually felt inside. It's simple, there was an elephant in the room and the goal was to chase it away before continuing the climb towards his return.
Drouin experienced insomnia and a big period of anxiety. Then, as a "generalized" anxious person, let me tell you that when you start doing this, it is not easy and obvious since you are really wondering what is going on.
From there, however, you can ask yourself... Am I really ready? It takes time to sort this out, I speak from experience. It takes tools, which Jonathan Drouin now has for this daily struggle to counter his anxiety.
