Jack Eichel is/will be present for medical and physical testing today, even though his case is still VERY murky, if not thorny. Without a doubt, he should fail the tests in order to prove to the organization that he needs to have his vertebrae repaired. I remind you that Kevyn Adams and the Sabres do not want him to go under the knife.
On top of that, the Buffalo-based franchise could make a very telling move by taking away his role as captain. They would take that letter away from him and tell him that he is no longer the captain of the ship. Wow! Seriously, how many times have you seen this happen? These are just rumors right now, but they are very plausible.
By the way, the longer the surgery takes, the slimmer the chances of Eichel competing in the Beijing Olympics become. It's still incredible that such a situation would be buried deep in the mud without anything really happening, even though Eichel hired Pat Brisson... Adams is downright "clogged" and losing face, no less!
