This week, the Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney announced that the team had signed Mitchell Miller. Miller was once a draft pick of the Arizona Coyotes, before news broke about some actions in his past. After the details of the incident were revealed, the Coyotes announced that they had waived the draft pick making Miller a free agent.

The incident in question occurred in 2016 when Miller bullied and convinced a disabled classmate to consume a piece of candy that had been rubbed in a urinal.

Now it appears that the signing is not sitting well with everyone, even in the Boston Bruins organization. After being informed of the signing by his general manager, team captain Patrice Bergeron had questions and issues with the decision.

"That's the first thing that I guess came out of my mouth. [Signing Miller] goes against who we are as a culture and as a team, and for me as a person." - Patrice Bergeron

It will be interesting to see how the Bruins handle this issue. If even the club's captain is coming out publicly to state his disagreement, he must not be the only one in this situation within the organization.
