Yesterday was the traditional Canadiens golf tournament at the Laval-sur-le-Lac Golf Club to officially launch the team's 2022-2023 season.

Even if the nomination of Nick Suzuki as captain attracted the most attention from the Canadiens fans, there was also the presence of a certain Carey Price. As we know, number 31 has been placed on the long term injured list, but just the fact that he was there attracted attention. As reported by Jérémie Lussier of Danslescoulisses.com, a journalist took the opportunity to chat with the Canadiens' goalie.
Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette was the first reporter at the golf tournament to go up to the Habs goalie, and according to him, he has no intention of quitting playing hockey.
"All indications are that (Carey Price) would still like to play (in the NHL)."

So those who say Price should retire must be wondering why he would make such a statement. In fact, Kent Hughes mentioned that his goalie is expected to be on the injured list for quite some time and that without surgery, it will be difficult for Price to make a return to play in the next few months.
Even though Kent Hughes has been cautious with this thorny issue for several months, he is not hiding to say that he would like to see number 31 stay with the organization.
"If Carey Price is able to play, we'd like it to be in Montreal."

But is it realistic to think that way? Hard to say, but the fact remains that as long as there is life, there is hope and who knows, maybe number 31 could join the organization in another role eventually.
