In the last few hours, the Boston University Terriers organization, in the NCAA, announced superb news about Montreal Canadiens' prospect Lane Hutson.
News that speaks volumes about the youngster.
"We are thrilled to announce our 2023-24 leadership group, which includes the return of Case McCarthy and Sam Stevens for a fifth year!
Captain : Case McCarthy Assistants : Sam Stevens, Luke Tuch (Montreal Canadiens), Cade Webber, and Lane Hutson (Montreal Canadiens)."
This will be a great experience for young Hutson, with more responsibilities, as he will evidently play his very last season in the NCAA before making his much-anticipated entry into the National Hockey League.
Lane Hutson, who had a historic season in his first university year in the NCAA, collected 48 points in 39 games, earning him a nomination for the Hobey Baker Award.
As for Luke Tuch, picked by the Canadiens in the second round in 2020, he finished the season with 9 goals and 11 assists in 20 games.
