Juraj Slafkovsky is off to a rocky start to his NHL season and career. If he has good moments, he also has more difficult moments. He will have to be patient because his adaptation to North American hockey seems to take longer than expected.
If video game company EaSports is to be believed, patience will pay off. In a recent simulation of the career of the NHL's most recent first overall pick, the NHL23 game predicts a sublime career for the CH's young number 20.
The one who is known for the moment for his very good shooting will become, according to this simulation, quite a game maker. Of the 1183 points that the simulation will have given him in 1233 games in the league, 762 of them will be assists compared to 421 goals.
Moreover, the game predicts him to win no less than 3 Stanley Cups and a Conn Smythe trophy, given to the most valuable player of the playoffs. Enough to make CH fans dream!
If he wants to get closer to this prediction, the young Slovakian will have to start the machine sooner than later. He has only accumulated 10 points (4 goals and 6 assists) in 29 games this season. This trend would only give him 425 points if he actually reached 1233 games in the NHL.
Oh yeah, that's just a prediction for fun... Don't aim for the messenger!
