Thursday night, the Edmonton Oil Kings played their first game of the WHL Association Semi-Final series against the Red Deer Rebels. This game saw one of the CH's prospects, Kaiden Guhle, showcase his offensive talent.
The solid defenseman made a great pass to Dylan Guenther and showed off his offensive skills with a great rush.
Guhle finished the game with a goal and an assist, as well as five shots on net. He of course earned the first star of the game.
In five games during the current playoffs, the defenseman accumulated 3 goals and 4 assists for a total of 7 points. He finished the regular season with 40 points in 42 games with the Oil Kings and Prince Albert Raiders. Guhle was traded in the middle of the year and numerous injuries made it difficult for him to play.
The next few months will be busy for the defenseman. He will certainly go a long way with Edmonton in the playoffs and will play in August for Team Canada in the World Championship rematch. He will then join the CH when he attends the training camp of the club that drafted him 16th overall in the 2020 auction.
