Logan Mailloux, the Habs' first pick in the 2021 draft, showed up at the team's training camp with an injury suffered last spring. As a result, Mailloux was unable to play in a pre-draft game and the organization sent him to the London Knights of the Ontario Junior League.
Good news for hockey fans: Mailloux will make his debut this week with the Knights, who, let's face it, are not off to a great start.
Long known as one of the most dangerous teams in Ontario junior hockey, the team has yet to win in four games.
With Mailloux back in the lineup, Knights head coach Dale Hunter will have one of the best offensive defensemen in the league, which could give his team a chance to win their first game of the season.
For those interested, Logan Mailloux's team will take on the Owen Sound Attack this Wednesday, the former team of his future Habs teammate Nick Suzuki. Last year, Mailloux was limited to nine points in 12 games due to his suspension and a shoulder injury.
